No fim do passado mês de Outubro, o Colégio do Marítimo foi anfitrião de uma dezena de docentes oriundos de vários países europeus, iniciativa integrada no projecto Erasmus ‘Out of the box’. Panikkos Xiourouppas, do Chipre, sublinhou os três grandes pilares programáticos: aprendizagem digital – que fomenta o conhecimento dos meios digitais ao dispor dos professores -, a educação ambiental e a promoção da prática desportiva. A etapa madeirense do ‘Out of the Box’, no Colégio do Marítimo, permitiu a interacção dos nossos alunos com professores provenientes de outros países da grande casa europeia. Carolina Spínola, docente do nosso Colégio, enfatizou os méritos de alargar os horizontes culturais dos petizes.
Foram dias intensos no Colégio do Marítimo, imerso, por aqueles dias, numa realidade ainda mais cosmopolita. Múltiplas actividades, algumas delas inéditas, distinguiram o evento. O próximo capítulo do ‘Out of the box’ decorrerá na Croácia, durante o qual será apresentada uma nova modalidade desportiva que não se encontra, ainda, na agenda curricula, anunciou Tea Liovic Holas, da Croácia. Chipre, Irlanda e Alemanha seguem-se à Croácia como destinos desse imenso vaivém europeu que é a o programa ‘Erasmus’. Stefan Hochst, da Alemanha, um dos mentores do evento, saudou a Madeira, os madeirenses e o Colégio do Marítimo. “A ilha é linda, as pessoas muito simpáticas, paisagens incríveis e, claro, a minha impressão sobre o Colégio do Marítimo é muito boa. Estou impressionado com as instalações e com os profissionais. No final da iniciativa, o Colégio do Marítimo foi palco de uma troca de experiências gastronómicas. A Europa reunida à mesa.

In the end of October, Colégio do Marítimo was the host of teachers from several european countries. ‘Out of the Box, an initiative under the umbrela of the ‘Erasmus’ project, brought to Madeira essential areas, explained Panikkos Xiourouppas, from Cyprus, such as digital learning, environment education and the promotion of sports actvities. The madeiran journey of ‘Out of the Box’ provided to our students the chance of interacting with teachers from other european countries, which was emphasized by teacher Carolina Spínola, happy to see how the horizons can grow with this cultural exchanges.
Intense and cosmopolitan days at Colégio do Marítimo. Several activities, some of them absolutely new, contributed to make it remarkable. The next chapter of ‘Out of the Box’ will take place in Croatia, said Tea Liovic Holas, from Croatia, during which a new sport activitie will be presented. Cyprus, Ireland and Germany will be the next destinations of this ‘Erasmus’ program. Stefan Hochst, from Germany, one of the mentors, was amazed by what he found in the Atlantic Pearl. “The Island is beautiful, warm-hearted people and, stunning landscapes and, of course, my impression of Colégio do Marítimo was very good. I’m impressed by the facilites and the by professional staff, absolutely”.
